Payment policy

PayPal is the fastest form of payment and accepts all major credit cards. IMPORTANT: you don't need a PayPal account to purchase an item, you can also pay with your credit card through PayPal.

Payment is only debited from your card at time of dispatch. Payments made by credit card will appear on your statement as GION purchase.

If the mentioned payment methods aren’t acceptable for you or have any problem, please contact us and as far as our best, we’ll help you.

Shipping policy

Shipping Information

For our quick and reliable shipping partner, we use FedEx.

Orders shipped with FedEx are insured and FedEx provides a detailed tracking of the shipment. In most cases it takes just a few days (about 1-3 working days) to deliver your order, wherever you are. Shipping times given are estimates and are not guaranteed and don’t include the endurance of the clearance procedure.

We always ship to your given address. Please make sure that this address is correct and updated. If you require shipping your item to another address, please email us at shop@gion.hu as soon as possible. If your package is already on the way, unfortunately, we’re not able to change the delivery address.

If the package lost, unclaimed or classified as undeliverable, its value will not be refundable. If the shipment is damaged in transit, or was sent back as undeliverable/unclaimed package, it’s the customer’s responsibility liaise with the delivery company.

Store pickup is also possible and free in Hungary. In this case, please note us and we will make an appointment.

Customs and taxes

Due to the international nature of our business all the prices on our website are displayed without tax. When you make an order by checkout we display the total product prices excluding shipping.

If your delivery address is within the EU, 27% VAT will be applied at the checkout (before you complete your payment). Product prices for all other destinations do not include VAT.

WORLDWIDE CUSTOMERS: The small goods (everything except bags and leather laptop sleeves) usually do NOT go through customs and you won't have to pay any further fees. Larger goods usually go through customs and you will have to pay import fees and taxes on receipt. The rules and regulations vary from country to country and state to state, so please contact your customs office for further details.

I cannot take responsibility for the unique or local taxes which may arise in your country at an international order - in each case you have to pay the additional costs.

Cancellation, return and exchange policy

In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your goods you can cancel your order:
• if you are a customer based in the EU, you have the right to cancel your order with us
• alternatively, you may prefer to return or exchange items after our policy.

In each case, please contact us within 14 working days and we will let you know how to go ahead with the return. Returns will not be accepted without the supplied return label. Your return must be shipped within 14 days from receiving the delivery. Once the goods are returned to us in an original, unused condition we will give you a full refund for the goods. Any associated shipping costs or fees are not refundable. Please note that returns from outside the EU are subject to a EUR 20 surcharge which covers customs clearance fees and processing.

Cancelling or modifying your order

If you decide you want to change or add products to your order, we'll have to cancel it and then ask that you place a new order. In most cases, it won't be possible to change your order as it will have already been processed for shipping. In this case you will need to return your order and place a new one.

Return policy

If you are based in the EU you have the right to cancel your order with us, provided you give us written notice within 14 working days of receipt.
In this case the steps are the following:
• Notify us by email about your wish to cancel the contract for your entire order within 14 working days of receiving your items.
• If your item isn’t delivered yet, we’ll delete your actual purchase. If your item is shipped already, return your order to us: GION / Hungary / 1118 Budapest, 31 Schweidel st. We recommend that you insure the return shipment as you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and will be liable for damage to them until we receive them at our workshop. Please retain proof of sending, in case of a dispute.
• We will notify you once your return has been received and processed. We will refund the full value of your order, not including shipping costs, within 30 days of receiving your notice of contract cancellation. If we do not receive the cancelled order, we will arrange to have it collected from you at your cost. Please note that returns from outside the EU are subject to a EUR 20 surcharge which covers customs clearance fees when applicable.

Please note that you must cover the cost of the return shipment, as we do not apply to orders cancelled. All items must be returned unused, in their original condition and from the country that the order was delivered to. If the item is damaged it’s value and the additional costs can’t be returned.
Please note that the promotional and discounted goods cannot be returned.

How to exchange

I accept exchanges on the same terms as the refund. Please request us through email within 14 days of receiving your order, and then specify the new requirements. By exchange always you have to pay the shipping fee as plus charge.
When we receive the bag and make sure that it is in unused, original condition we can send you another bag according to your selection. If the new bag is less costly then the original purchases, I’ll refund the difference - if it’s more expensive, the plus cost is payed by the buyer. The second item’s shipping cost is the buyer’s responsibility!
However all exchanges are based on stock availability.

Receiving a refund

Your refund will either be credited to the original purchaser's credit card but won’t include shipping costs for faulty items or for orders cancelled.
If your order has been sent to a destination within the EU, all sales taxes will be refunded. Outside the EU, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through GION. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly. As this may not be available for all countries, we recommend that you hire a customs broker if you wish to claim back duties on returned merchandise.
Please note card refunds may take up to 10 business days for your bank to complete, depending on their processing time. This can vary greatly between card issuers, and unfortunately we are unable to influence this.
Please note that for promotional or discounted products we cannot offer a refund.
We are happy to answer any questions before you buy.

Gift returns

If you have received an item as a gift, you may exchange it in Hungary in our showroom. Please be aware that you may need to pay any cost difference.
Note, corporate gifts may only be returned by the original purchaser and within 14 working days of initial receipt. additional shipping, taxes and import duties.

Our policy

Items should be returned new, unused, and with all garment tags still attached. Returns that are damaged, soiled or altered may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer.
• All items are quality controlled and checked for any faults before they are dispatched to customers.
• Should you receive an item that is not in perfect condition please contact us immediately.
• Items should be returned in their original packaging to ensure they are adequately protected in transit.
• We prefer that items are returned to us via FedEx to ensure that they are protected and insured during transit. However, you may return the goods by any secure means.
